Photoluminescence

Photoluminescence therapy was first used in 1928, and has been in constant use since that time. It is also known as Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (UBI), Hemo-irradiation, Photodynamic therapy, etc. UBI has been used for a wide variety of conditions, and there have never been any harmful effects associated with its use. UBI is intravenously applied ultraviolet energy. A small amount (up to 250cc) of blood is removed from a vein, then treated and returned intravenously. The procedure can take anywhere from 45 minutes to about 2 hours, depending on the patient. It can be combined with other therapies to increase their effectiveness.

The effects of UBI therapy are often dramatic, and include a rapid detoxification effect, peripheral vasodilatation, an increase in venous oxygen content, a powerful normalizing effect of the autonomic nervous system, inactivation of viruses, fungi, and bacteria, a rapid increase in resistance to infections, a decrease in inflammation, aids in the normalization of blood sugars and fat levels, activation and enhancement of numerous metabolic pathways, etc. Treatments have a cumulative effect, and can be given as frequently as needed.
