Fatigue is weariness or exhaustion from labor, exertion, disease or stress. It is one of the most common symptoms seen in the doctor’s office setting. For some people, fatigue is a temporary condition. For others, fatigue is a chronic, debilitating problem. Bodies worn down by fatigue are more vulnerable to bacteria and disease. Most people accept fatigue as a normal part of a hectic life or chalk it up to being another year older. However, we here at the Cole Center know that this does not have to be the case.

Fatigue is a non-specific symptom with multiple causes. The good news? The causes can be determined and treated. The bad news? There is no instant, immediate cure for fatigue. It can take time and work to treat. However, the earlier you address the fatigue, the easier it is to treat. Treating your fatigue now can ultimately prevent more severe health issues down the road. The key is to find the specific causes for each individual’s fatigue, and create a plan of care that addresses each cause. Some of the major causes of fatigue are:

    1. Allergies – Fatigue is a major symptom of allergy and is usually associated with other symptoms (i.e. brain fog, decreased memory, muscle or joint pain, etc depending on the individual).
    2. Nutritional deficiencies and imbalances – Our bodies cannot function without the proper fuel and building materials.
    3. Toxins – Heavy metals and chemicals in our environment disrupt normal function in all body systems.
    4. Energetic / Emotional Issues– The energetic system is just like any other body system, with its own methods of coping and healing.

Allergy testing and Tissue Mineral Analysis are excellent tools for identifying the underlying causes of fatigue. The test results give metabolic and nutritional information and can be used to design a treatment program, with a customized dietary and supplement program.

Once the causes of an individual’s fatigue are identified, treatment can begin. The plan of care should address body and mind, or progress can be stalled. Diet, exercise, and real sleep are extremely important and form the foundation of the plan. Major approaches of combating fatigue are detoxification, replenish, and repair. Some of the ways to treat the underlying dysfunctions that have led to the fatigue include:

    1. Enzyme Potentiated Desensitization (EPD) – This is the best allergy approach available. It not only ELIMINATES allergies, it normalizes the immune system.
    2. IV Therapy – We have available several types of IV’s that can be used. Chelation is excellent for removing heavy metals. Glutathione IVs can reduce fatigue and promote increased energy.
    3. Ozone Steam Detoxification – This is excellent for removal of chemicals and toxins.
    4. Neural Therapy – Neural therapy is the best way to track down noxious agents, both physical and energetic.
    5. CHRIS Technique – This is the best approach for dealing with an individual’s energy damage. This technique is life changing at every level.
    6. Bach Remedies – These also work on energetic levels with positive physical effects.

Fatigue is typically a whole life problem that requires changes in all areas of one’s life in order to make lasting improvements. This thought alone is enough to make most people tired. However, the long-term benefits are worth every bit of effort.
